still no adams apple eh? Great job Dan, the model looked exactly like Rey. The wireframe is actually a lot crazier than i was expecting. If that wireframe was in Maya there would be all sorts of crazy creases... another point for 3dsmax.
In max there are several ways to smooth out a model. I think the HDSD smoothing causes different smoothing results than meshsmooth or turbosmooth (different smoothing tools). I don't know how many smoothing tools there are in maya, but I'm sure you can use a similar mesh to mine and get some decent results in maya. I've never done it, but I've seen plenty of models on cgtalk that have tri's and quads combined that are smoothed in maya with great results.
