


I gave the model some ears and also realized that the mouth in the ref. images was slightly open.... maybe i need to give her some teeth or something. That ngon in the cheek is screwing things up still.

Looking at the wireframe I'd say you can probably ditch one of the edges radiating from the upper lip that contribute to that ngon. Simplify that upper lip otherwise you'll have to add another edge thru the cheek - and there's a lot there already.
I do believe you're right. I'll do that on monday since i don't have maya 8.5 at home.
