odd proxy issue


I've been having weird issues w/ my smooth proxy. There are certain vertices that just won't weld correctly even tho everything is correct on the low poly mesh.

I don't know maya poly tools, but in max welding sometimes (for some reason) doesn't result in one vert. So I have to select both verts and collapse them together. I would look for a collapse tool that combines multiple verts into one.

Very weird. Have you attempted duplicating your working mesh and smoothing that by itself. Deleting history and running a mesh cleanup?

I've not run into that problem on my end.
