3.25 hours or so...


Here it is - 3 hours and 15 min in. And the result is... a somewhat boring head model.. ha! There's not a whole lot going on there, but in my defense I was just getting to the "add more loops for detail" stage. I started w/ the eye and roughed it out in just 3 loops then brought a loop down under the chin, then roughed in the mouth w/ a couple loops, moved to the nose. I felt under the 3hr time limit I should at least rough the whole thing in :) Then I massaged it a bit to smooth it out and began adding loops around the eye and nose turning a few polys to get the flow better - the area around the nose and down to the mouth I'm still not happy with. My initial build method was extruding edges to form topology not splitting a cube. I was hoping to keep a certain economy to my polys but ended up with more than I wanted in some areas.. So if I go back my first move will be to lose a bunch of polys from the top lip heading up to the nose and get that flow right, then get in there and make things look right. The mouth received the least amount of attention, the eye and nose probably about the same amount. And the forehead is lame and there's no back of the head.. so there's that. :) Also, the wire post there is of the SubD mesh - I'll try to get the poly mesh up there soon...
